Edinburgh Chinese Elderly Support AssociationScotland's Chinese Community

Scotland has around 20,000 Chinese and the community has grown by over 50% in the last ten years and represents the second largest non-white ethnic group in Scotland.

  • Chinese Community Development Partnership
    is the central point of contact and information between the Chinese community and local authorities, public bodies, and voluntary organisations. Based in Glasgow.

  • The Chinese Evangelical Church in Edinburgh
    offers services in both Chinese and English. The originally bilingual Cantonese and English service now includes Mandarin.

  • Dimsum: The British Chinese Community Website
    is a central website for the British Chinese community. Information and articles on China-related culture and events in Britain can be found here, as well as links to a number of relevant websites.
  • The Edinburgh Chinese Elderly Support Association (ECESA)
    provides educational and recreational activities and support to Chinese elders in Edinburgh. The association has a lunch club, day care service and home visiting project. It also provides welfare information to elders.
